CALLING ALL ATHLETES!
As you may or may not have already heard, for the first year ever, the
Boulder JCC is hosting a delegation for the JCC Maccabi Games! What are
the Maccabi Games you ask?
The JCCA Maccabi Games are an international Jewish sports tournament
held annually in a different location every year. The Maccabi Games
are a fantastic opportunity for teens between 13 and 16 (by August 1st,
2012) to meet other Jewish teens from across the country and from across
the world! They all come together for a week filled with adventure,
bonding activities, travel, and best of all sports!
This year the games will be in Houston, Texas! They are August 5th -
10th, 2012. As it is the first year ever that Boulder will be sending
it's very own delegation, we only have 6 spots left! The sports being
offered at this year's Games are:
Baseball
Basketball
Bowling
Dance
Soccer
Softball
Swimming
Table Tennis
Tennis
Volleyball
The trip is all inclusive (travel, food, lodging, Boulder Delegation
gear/apparel and more!). The total cost of the Games is normally
$1550, but we are currently offering a discounted rate of $1300 for the
Boulder Delegation! The total is payed in monthly installments between
now and the games in August. The Boulder JCC is currently more funding
to offer further scholarships, and once we have our delegation set we
will be doing some fundraising activities to help subsidize the cost as
well. I would encourage you to not let price be the thing that keeps
your child from attending the Games, but I understand that cost can
often be prohibitive. Please speak to me more if you are in need of
extra financial assistance for the Games this year.
