DURING 2008
37 people visited Israel during the 60th Anniversary year on our Israel PG13™ and Team Boulder - Israel Ride '08 trips.
IsraelPG13 brought our group of parents & teens together with Israelis in several meaningful contexts, to explore Israel's diversity, Jewish peoplehood and current affairs. Plus lots of laughs, bumps & scrapes, food and falafel and shopping!
What they said about Israel PG13™
“I enjoyed the trip immensely and felt the group was incredible. I’m still riding high after an amazing trip. … We thank you with all our heart for a fabulous & life altering trip and experience.” Ellen & Hannah Taxman
“Great trip! This was truly a priceless experience. This visit will be carried in our memories and our actions. … A very eye opening trip to Israel … I would so join it again” Wildman family
"We deeply appreciate the opportunity to experience a unique and meaningful Israel trip. All your efforts were worthwhile. Thanks for introducing me to lots of new people and places.” Wolman family
“I think this was the best group trip I have been on. Great conversation, easygoing attitudes, and many excellent moments watching our kids have an unexpectedly (according to them) great time. ….a journey that made it possible to find our own connection with Israel and offered up a chance to interact with this multi-faceted culture in many ways…." Deb Skovron,
“Thanks for the trip of a lifetime. We must do it again some time.” Marco & Martin Better
“Purim & cat ears in Israel – nothing better! Many thanks.” Ruth Henderson
And about our concept planning: “Your energy and compassion to share Israel's beauty of the people and the land with new visitors...can only be translated as mitzvah. …. The journey like the one you have planned is imperative: to hear more of the voices and 'encounter' more real situations that exist in Israel, in spite of mass media obtuse portrayals. The more possibilities like the one you have created are the ones that will make a difference, both for your group as well as the Israelis you connect to/with.” Lana Bernhardt, Jewish community educator
Team Boulder ’08 pedaled 1000’s of miles in the AIES&Hazon Israel Ride ’08, to benefit The Arava Institute of Environmental Studies and Hazon. More than a ride and a fundraiser, Team Boulder bonded our diverse group of Boulder Jews into a caring, sharing and learning community.
