This poignant look at tragedy and its aftermath follows four women whose lives were changed forever by the 1972 Munich Olympic massacre of eleven Israeli athletes by Palestinian terrorists. Terrorism became personal, and global, as the attack played out on the nightly news, the world watching as Black September stormed the Israeli athletes’ lodgings, taking 11 hostages, all of whom would be murdered. Today, four women—an athlete, a widow, and two undercover agents— reflect on lives shattered by tragedy. The trauma of those shocking events 45 years ago led to acts of deterrence, a search for justice, and the desire for forgiveness. Munich also ushered in an era of terrorism that continues to demand response and to take its toll.
