[Virtual] Yiddish: A Living Language

Join local educator and writer, Lori Lucas for a lively presentation on the resurgence of the Yiddish language: Its origins, history, and recent developments. Also included: a Bissel Yiddish--words, phrases, and anecdotes.

As Polish-born American novelist Isaac Bashevis Singer once said,"Yiddish has not yet said its last word."

Lori is originally from Chicago but lived and taught in Brussels, Belgium for many years before moving to Boulder where she currently lives. She is a lifelong lover of language and teaches English literature with a focus on Shakespeare Studies. Her book of poetry Chiaroscuro is in its 4th printing.
