[VIRTUAL] Tikkun Olam Sparks | A Radical Justice Conversation with Congregation Nevei Kodesh

Date: January 31, 2021
Time: 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Our aim is to offer, over time, a number of community-wide reflection and education programs as on-ramps to personal and collective social action. On January 31st, we’ll learn about racism in predominantly white Jewish communities and invite us to become a more inclusive and racially aware community.

In this conversation, we’ll discuss a 20-minute video of her Yom Kippur sermon from Rabbi Angela Buchdahl of Central Synagogue in New York. Some of our conversation will be in the whole group, some in breakout rooms. Mindful that for people of color, listening to white people waking up to new understandings about racism can range from uncomfortable to wounding, we’ll set up the option of a breakout room specifically for people of color. Please go to our page for more information.
