[IN-PERSON] Weaving Workshop - Clasped Warp

Date: December 7, 2021
Time: 9:30 am - 1:30 pm

Learn how to create brand new patterns on your rigid heddle loom by shifting color in your warp during the warping process! This technique opens the door to a large variety of new patterns in your weaving bringing an organic element to the structure of weaving. Create a soft beautiful scarf with Sun Valley’s amazing
merino and cashmere blend yarn. In class, we will also cover a variety of fringe
finishing techniques and how to best show off your final piece. Basic weaving
experience is needed, or completion of
the Rigid Heddle 1 class.

The yarn is included in the kit fee and the looms will be provided by Schacht Spindle Co. Looms can be taken home during the session to complete your project.

Sara Goldenberg White has been teaching weaving along the Front Range for over a decade. Her passion for weaving and teaching started during her graduate study at Colorado State University. She teaches a variety of fiber techniques but sharing her love of weaving with others is one of her greatest joys. Sara coauthored Simple Woven Garments 20+ Projects to Weave and Wear with Jane Patrick. Sara also has a lively fine arts practice and has exhibited her work at museums and galleries throughout the country. Sara enjoys the balance of creating her own work and sharing her love of weaving in the classroom, she looks forward to seeing you there!
