Virtual: Poetry Circle

Date: May 5, 2020Time: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Everyone can bring a poem or two to share (most likely written by you, but also possibly by someone else). You can still attend even if you're not sharing a poem. We’ll go around in a virtual circle where each person has the opportunity to share out loud. You’re encouraged to tell us why you chose to read this work, how you created it, and what ideas or experiences influenced it. Everyone in The Circle will listen to you closely and then have a discussion pondering over, relating with, critiquing (at your suggestion), and cheerleading your work. It will be a supportive environment where you can bring up what you’re going through intellectually and emotionally right now and feel heard.

Hosted by Jonathan "Bluebird" Montgomery
Jonathan has an MFA in Creative Writing from Naropa University and teaches English at Front Range Community College in Westminster. He's the author of "The Reality Traveler" and "Pizzas & Mermaid". He's hosted, organized and performed in many local events, and is the editor of local literary news website
