Virtual: Connecting Generations and Sharing Family Stories

Date: May 5, 2020
Time: 12:00 pm

Build your family tree. Know your story. Conducting a family history research project is relevant right now! It’s the perfect way to engage with seniors and relatives who are isolated and would love a phone or video chat. You can ask those burning questions you always planned to get around to and use the information gathered to start searching online databases. Ellen will share success stories and examples of what’s possible such as finding living relatives from branches thought destroyed in the Holocaust; how to learn what the original family surname was; where an immigrant came from; and what to do with commercial DNA test results that reveal Jewish ancestry.
