Virtual Containing Multitudes: Exploring Identity, Religion, Poetry with Joy Ladin and Guests from jewishLIVE

Date: May 12, 2020
Time: 12:00 pm

For a dozen years, Penina Weinberg has been teaching classes on the Hebrew Bible using an inclusive approach that brings together multiple voices and perspectives, traditional, queer and feminist. Weinberg's Ruach HaYam, a queer havurah
in the Boston area, is in its seventh year, and her classes bring together people of many
faiths, backgrounds, and identities. We will discuss her approach to the Hebrew Bible,
how she developed it, and how it works in theory, and briefly practice it with her.
