"What Makes it Great? The Great American Songbook" features artist-in-residence, Rob Kapilow from Kaplen JCC on the Palisades. Rob is well-known around the country and is super dynamic, fun, and interesting. This class requires no background - just curiosity. Based on Kapilow’s new book, Listening For America: Inside the Great American Songbook from Gershwin to Sondheim, each of the course's 7 classes focuses on one of the giants including George Gershwin, Harold Arlen, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers, Leonard Bernstein, and Stephen Sondheim.
