[IN-PERSON] Winter Wellness for Teens and Parents

Join us for Winter Wellness: a four-part series for Teens and Parents. Each session will consist of fun, creative, and holistic self-care activities paired with resiliency-building skills, and body-based strategies to cope with stress and anxiety. Learn hands-on winter self-care skills such as how to formulate infused
honey and medicinal syrups, create herbal tea blends, and make winter skincare.
This class is open to Teens and Parents/Guardians to attend together.
Family participation is strongly encouraged!

Session 1: Herbal Syrups/Infused Honey with Tzuria Malpica; “Transforming Arguments into Authentic and Productive Conversations” with Cynthia Hildner

Session 2: Bath Salt Blends with Tzuria Malpica; “Recognizing Power Struggles and How to Move Out of Them” with Cynthia Hildner

Session 3: Winter Skin Care with Tzuria Malpica; Turning Anxiety Into a Super Power with Avani Dilger

Session 4: Herbal Tea Blends with Tzuria Malpica; AcuDetox and Brain Chemistry of Emotions with Avani Dilger

About the Facilitators:
Facilitator: Cynthia Hildner, MA
Cynthia is a passionate, curious, and playful coach integrating co-creativity and authenticity to invite personal, relational, and group transformation. She is a certified coach and faculty member with the Hendrick’s Institute, the Foundation for Conscious Living, and the Evolutionary Power Institute in Boulder, CO. She has a private coaching practice supporting organizations, individuals, and families in learning and applying conscious living tools, learning and re-learning how to play and how to use body wisdom to live their fullest lives.

Facilitator: Avani G. Dilger, MEd, MA, LPC, BC-DMT, CAS, ADS
Avani is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Certified Addiction Specialist, a Somatic Psychotherapist, an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist, and a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT). She is the founder and director of the “Natural Highs – Healthy Alternatives to Drugs and Alcohol” Program that integrates traditional and alternative approaches to substance abuse and addiction issues and teaches teens and adults how to work in intelligent ways with their own brain chemistry through body/mind practices, dance, ritual, meditation, and the creative arts.

Mondays, January 24, 31, February 7, 14 | 4:30 - 6:30 pm | Teens $100 | Parent/Guardian $60

No one will be turned away due to a lack of funds. Please contact Tzuria Malpica if this program is cost-prohibitive to you, or if you are signing up for more than one teen in your household so we can apply a discount to your registration. If we end up only filling this class with teens, parents will be refunded their participation fee.

This program will be held in person at the Boulder JCC following all of our Health & Safety Protocols. As of November 1, 2021, we are implementing a Vaccination Policy for program participants that varies by program location/attendance. Please familiarize yourself with these protocols prior to the event. As always, all Health & Safety protocols are subject to change.
